Live work is a different job to studio work. You get somewhere between six and ten minutes a head, the sitter can see the paper the whole time, and half the room is watching over your shoulder. I set the shape of the head down first and commit to it, because there is no time to correct a likeness out there, only to push it. This pair came off the pad in nine minutes flat and went home in a sleeve.
